TRAGIC YouTube star Emily Hartridge staged her own funeral three years before she was killed while riding an electric scooter.

The 35-year-old became the first ever person to die while riding one of the vehicles on Friday when she collided with a lorry less than half a mile from her home in Battersea, South London.

Chillingly, Emily had hosted her own funeral in 2016 after having a “quarter life crisis” for Channel 4 show ‘Oh S***, I’m 30’.

Her friends and family were filmed looking close to tears as they gave emotional eulogies while Emily watched in the background.

Her little sister Jessica said: “She’s always been very special, even at a young age. Whenever I watch our family video back she’s always bouncing around trying to get everyone’s attention.

“If anyone asks me to sum Emily up in one word, I would always say kind. And that is why I love her so much.

“There really is no one like my sister, she really is one of a kind and I wouldn’t have her any other way.”

The show saw Emily overcome with emotion as she listens to her friends and family’s kind words as they spoke in front of a picture of her surrounded by candles.

She reveals she the service left her “hairs standing up on end”, adding: “I do feel like I live life in a lot of fear, I wish I could handle stress a lot better.

“I really want to be one of those positive people, but I’m just really pessimistic.”

Emily had built up a huge social media following with more than 340,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel.

In her final YouTube post just four days before her death she uploaded a video about her ‘wonderful’ relationship with boyfriend Jake Hazell, 27.

Just four months ago, she spoke to The Sun about her decision to freeze her eggs and her hopes of becoming a mum.

TRIBUTES FOR EMILY

A statement on her Instagram page yesterday said: “Hi everyone. This is a horrible thing to have to say over Instagram but we know many of you were expecting to see Emily today and this is the only way to contact you all at once.

“Emily was involved in an accident yesterday and passed away. We all loved her to bits and she will never be forgotten.

“She has touched so many lives it’s hard to imagine things without her. She was a very special person xxx.”

Fans and fellow celebrities paid tribute to Emily, originally from Waterlooville, Hants, on social media.

TV legend Davina McCall said: “My heart goes out to Emily’s family and friends. Such a shock. Sending you love and prayers.”

TRAGIC CRASH

Pal Matt Johnson, a TV host who has worked on ITV’s This Morning, posted on Facebook: “I’m absolutely devastated. RIP Emily.”

Made in Chelsea star Ashley James said: “Sending you all so much love. So devastated.”

Among stars personal trainer Emily interviewed were actors Hugh Jackman, Amanda Seyfried and Eddie Redmayne.

Reality TV regular Calum Best wrote: Jesus Christ no way this is so sad I’m so sorry.”

Emily was pronounced dead at the scene following the collision just after 8.30am on Friday.

Police are appealing for information about the crash and have asked anyone with dash-cam footage to come forward.

The crash is believed to be the first fatal collision involving an electric scooter in the UK.

The vehicles can currently only be legally used on private land but the policy could be reversed as the Department for Transport carries out a review.

There have been no arrests in connection with the investigation.

Riding electric scooters on public roads and cycle lanes is illegal in Britain but the law is under review.
