Chelsea willing to sell N'Golo Kante with Frank Lampard keen to adopt Jose Mourinho tactic

Chelsea are willing to sell N’Golo Kante in this transfer window, with head coach Frank Lampard keen to trim his squad following a plethora of incomings this summer. That is according to transfer expert Ian McGarry, who claims Lampard is keen to adopt the approach of his former manager Jose Mourinho by having a smaller core of first-team players to call upon this season.

Chelsea have signed six players so far in this window and remain keen on bringing in a goalkeeper.

The arrivals of Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell and Kai Havertz have taken their transfer outlay to over £200million.

Defenders Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr have also joined on free transfers, so Lampard is eager to reduce his playing staff.

And France star Kante is a player who the club are allowing to leave, though the 29-year-old is not keen on doing so.
