Ms Munchetty asked: “By not extending this outdoors, as has been done in England, are you not encouraging larger groups to get together?”
Mr Drakeford replied: “Well we still have a maximum of 30 people who can gather outdoors at any one time.
“We have never had evidence at all in Wales that the virus is being spread by people meeting together in the open air.
“I think the evidence on this has been very clear for a long time.
“The virus does not thrive in the outdoors and the sunlight, it does thrive indoors, in the dark and the cold.
“We are making that distinction. We still want people to be able to meet outdoors, indoors it will be six people only.”
