LIVERPOOL owner John W Henry admits Champions League glory will not make up for their Premier League near-miss.
Jurgen Klopp’s men agonisingly finished a point behind Manchester City in the title race.
The Reds, beaten finalists in last year’s Champions League, are already gearing up for another Prem assault next season.
But Henry says even beating Spurs in tonight’s Madrid final will not erase the pain of missing out on a first league crown in 29 years.
The American said: “It’s an amazing feeling given what happened last year in the final.
“We felt we had unfinished business, so to get back here is really gratifying.
“The Premier League and Champions League are different. This doesn’t make up for it.
“Not winning the Premier League this year means it’s an even larger goal for next year.
“We’re going to have a go and we’re strong already.”
