New Samsung Galaxy Watch just launched, but you can get this one for free

Samsung’s all-new Galaxy Watch was revealed to the world last month with a tweaked design, new digital faces, and a swathe of updated health and fitness features. This means the Galaxy Watch is now able to automatically track more exercise routines and there’s even a new running coach designed to help keep you company (and motivated) during your morning jog.

Sleep tracking is now included, which will check how much shut-eye you get overnight, and there’s also the ability for women to monitor their monthly cycles from their wrist to help with family planning.

Like the Apple Watch, Samsung has also brought Fall Detection to the device, which will ring a contact if you take a tumble and fail to get moving again. This latest Galaxy Watch can also constantly check your heart-rate with ECG compatibility expected to arrive in the future – pending certification from health bodies in each country – and it has the ability to see your blood oxygen levels.

It’s a big update and probably the only thing not to like about the latest model is the price which is considerably more expensive than its predecessor. You can pick up the 44mm Galaxy Watch 2 for £289 but the 4mm Galaxy 3 starts from £419. If that price sounds like too much for your wallet then there is a way to get a Galaxy Watch without paying a penny for it.

Samsung has just announced a promotion which offers fans a free Galaxy Watch Active when they buy a 5G-ready Galaxy S20.

All you have to do is purchase this latest flagship between now and September 30 from a participating retailer, then complete an online form and wait for your new smartwatch to be delivered.

Although the £199 Galaxy Watch Active isn’t as feature-packed as the Galaxy Watch 3 it still offers plenty of fitness features including activity levels, sleep tracking and even how stressed you are. There’s also a heart rate monitor and all of your messages can be read and replied to without touching your smartphone.

This deal is available via SIM-free and contract deals and you can find out more details here.
