Novak Djokovic will resume his Wimbledon title defence against a fellow Serb in Miomir Kecmanovic on Centre Court this afternoon, with the match set to get underway at around 2.45pm. Djokovic has experienced little difficulty in breezing through the early rounds at the All England Club this year but will be firmly tested by Kecmanovic, who has only dropped two sets over the course of the tournament so far.
Djokovic managed to get off to a winning start against Kwon Soon-woo in round one despite needing four sets in order to get the job done. He went on to down Thanasi Kokkinakis in straight sets in their second-round clash on Wednesday to book today’s meeting with Kecmanovic on Centre Court.
The latter will be desperately hoping to upset the odds against his compatriot, though, and will go into the match with no shortage of confidence after beating John Millman and Alejandro Tabilo in his first two outings at SW19. He is currently ranked as the world’s 30th best player but has never beaten Djokovic in either of their previous two meetings and will be determined to put things right at the very next opportunity.
