Spain is one of the most popular destinations for holidaying Britons.The country has been battling the Omicron wave and re-introduced some Covid restrictions at the end of last year.
Spain’s southern region of Murcia has extended its Covid restrictions, and it’s not the only region to do so.
In Murcia, some of the measures meant to expire this Friday have been extended until February 4.
Hospitality and nightlife businesses will continue to be capped at 75 percent capacity.
Dancing is prohibited and only groups of 10 can meet indoors, or 12 outdoors.
Non-essential businesses are closed between 1am and 6am.
The decision to extend Covid restrictions was approved by the region’s Superior Court.

However, the regional health chiefs have reported the infection rate in the region have been falling for two days. The fall comes after a big rise over seven days.
The Omicron wave has not yet peaked in Spain, but the latest data may suggest it is close to it, according to experts.
Elsewhere in Spain, Catalonia will be lifting its nighttime curfew tomorrow, Friday 21, but all other restrictions will still be in place.
Cantabria is not extending the need to show a Covid pass to enter restaurants, with the restriction ending yesterday.

It continues: “All passengers arriving in Spain as their final destination must undergo a health check on arrival at the first entry point.
“This control will include, at least, the temperature measurement, a documentary control and a visual control on the state of the passenger.
“Travellers may be subject to denial of entry for public health reasons if, after verification by the correspondent health authorities, the traveller does not comply with the COVID-19 health control requirements established by the Ministry of Health.”
Face masks are required to be worn inside and outside in Spain.
The use of the app RadarCovid is “recommended”, however, the app is only available in Spanish.
